Little Mr 2's ducky party

In May our little man Mackinnon turned 2!  It's so hard to believe he is 2 already - the time has flown and it is our pleasure to watch this little person grow and show his personality traits and learn all the things that babies learn in the first 2 years...

Birthdays are always a big deal in our house, and I love planning every detail, sourcing products and putting it all together.  This year I decided on a ducky theme for a few reasons - firstly because Mackinnon completes our family and is our last baby I knew it would also be the last party that I could theme with a toddler-type theme and I am sure next year he will have an input into what type of party he would like... Secondly I have always been a fan of duckies and a little rubber ducky has lived in Mackinnon's room since we set his nursery up...Lastly it is such a cute theme and I knew instantly the colours to use to bring it all together.

So with duckies in mind and a palette of pastel colours we also decided an icecream bar would be a fun addition to the party... The children absolutely LOVED making their sundaes and who doesn't love icecream!!!

A favours and candy bar completed the party as our way to thank Mackinnon's gorgeous little friends for coming and helping to make his 2nd birthday special.

Here's the photos from the day, taken by Renee Bell from NFE Design (an amazing photographer from Newcastle, NSW)

  1. I am throwing a vintage ice cream party for my littlest's first birthday in October. I was hoping you'd share where you found the wooden desk organizer that you used for toppings. Thanks so much!
