1950's housewife Tea Party

As many of you realise we surprised everyone by eloping 2 weeks ago and had a magical perfect wedding at the most divine bed and breakfast, Telegraph Retreat, near Port Macquarie, NSW.

Before we eloped I hosted a 'secret' Kitchen Tea and enjoyed a delightful afternoon with some family and friends.  We had such a great time dressing up and enjoying a fun photo shoot with Renee from Renee Bell Photographer.

(The wig and red lipstick were a bit out of my comfort zone, but it was fun to dress up and catch up for some girly chatting and laughs).

Lots of yummy treats to eat on Sweet Little Birdy products and a mini candy bar for guests to take home some sweetness made the day one filled with sweet memories.

Some of our fun shots!

YUM YUM - carrot cakes in liberty baking cases, scones, strawberry, cake pop skewers and mini pears on one of our gorgeous 2 tier stands

Cream and berries for the scones and mini pears in our compotes

Delicious ~ how wonderful do these cake pops skewers, jam and coconut slice and cake balls and carrot cakes displayed in our 3 tier wire stand look!

Oh these liberty teacups make my heart sing ~ gorgeous for serving warm chocolate cake and cream

Mini drinks with our vintage style paper straws

Candy bar  (Did you know that Sweet Little Birdy do Candy bars locally in the Hunter Valley NSW)?

Such wonderful memories of a great girly day with friends and family!

"The future looks bright..."

On our launch party day we had 2 parties ~ it was a celebration after all, and one just didn't seem enough!!!  The theme for our first party was 'The things I love...' , which was all about my passions and pink!  Our second party was themed 'The future looks bright...' and there was a rainbow of colour in all the details.

Lots of yummy (and bright) foods were served and included rainbow cake pops and lollies, fairy bread (of course), rainbow cupcakes and mini donuts, as well as delicious hot finger food.

We used our gorgeous Sambellina multi dot partyware, and our Ah~Tissue rainbow pom poms looked amazing.

THE THANK YOUS AND SHOUTOUTS

Launch Party Day ~ Party number one

Wow, our launch party day was so much fun, and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to showcase not only our gorgeous products, but also to create the parties as well.  The first theme was 'Things I love...' and the second was 'The future looks bright' and they both came together beautifully.

The 'things I love...' theme is well, pretty self explanatory I guess.   I wanted it to be all about what inspired me to start Sweet Little Birdy... It was a beautiful sit down tea party with pink as the central colour, and combined my love of polka dots, roses, teacups, vintage decor and sweet little birdies.

Delicious delights were served and included cake pops and sweets, sandwich fingers and circles and mini donuts, as well as sweet little birdy cupcakes and baby lamingtons.  Scrumptious hot finger food was also enjoyed and included mini quiche and cheese triangles.

Our gorgeous Sambellina pink polka dot partyware looked amazing, and themed in beautifully and our paper straws added a nostaglic touch.

THE THANK YOUS AND SHOUTOUTS

So many people helped make the day a success and I am truly grateful.  To everyone who attended I thank you sincerely ~ the buzz is the room was so incredible and your postive and kind comments mean the world.

To my darling partner, who I had doing little projects in the shed for me, thank you - our cake pops and marshmallow stick boxes looked fantastic and I LOVE them.  Thank you for your patience when 'I just need these birds white' or 'I just need a coffee' or when I start off by saying 'I have this idea...'.  Love you beyond words x

Thank you to our super-talented and wonderful photographer Renee and her gorgeous assistant (aka straw fixer) at  NFE Design ~ Renee's work is amazing.

Chair covers by Natasha at Plan Your Special Day ~ Not only did they look awesome, but Natasha's assistance on the day was really appreciated.

THE PRODUCTS

Our gorgeous spotty cups used as lolly cups looked amazing on gorgeous grass mats from Sharnel Dollar Designs

What a perfect lolly holder!  Our turntable with mini buckets was most impressive.

Sweet Little Birdy cupcakes in our cupcake carrier x

Our polka dot birdy cake on the platter that matches our large dome

Our mini cupcake stand was perfect for mini donuts, while our large cupcake stand was ideal for our salmon fingers and round ham sandwiches made using our cookie cutters
Our Sambellina plates (on the plate holder to the left) matched in perfectly, and our plain white cake stand held sandwiches

Our two tier plate stand held strawberry oreos and mini lamingtons, while our dotty suitcase (that come with a dotty onesie and two pairs of socks) was ideal to use for scrummy pink biscuits.  Our small milk bottle also made a perfect vase!

Our paper straws are gorgeous in mini recycled bottes

THE DETAILS

The tables were set with some of our birdcages, decorated with our Ah-Tissue mini pom poms.  We also used our metal cake stands as a centrepiece, with little birdies sitting atop.

Our Sambellina party tags, and a flower chocolate from Lollypotz made our gift bags look awesome!

Roses in recycled bottles and jars scattered on the food and beverage tables and an old crate on the beverage table completed the overall look

Our gorgeous food table!!! YUM

Our party all set up ~ on our entry table our metal stand held champagne, our mini birdcage favours were a perfect balloom weight and I had lots of fun making the rose display in one of our cylindrical jars

A wonderful day and the launch of our exciting sweet little birdy

(second party coming soon...)
