It's a Sweet Little Birdy Christmas...

Recently we held our Sweet Little Birdy Christmas Party and chose a red and dark pink colour palette, with a focus on candy stripes and little birdies ~ loved how it all come together, and we had a fun and fantastic day x

Delicious treats were displayed on a gorgeous bakers stand, while a tray on a stand housed plates and cups (and a few yummy treats) and drink dispensers sat atop stands also.

Guests enjoyed munching on sandwich fingers, bruschetta, vegetable platters and fruit salad, as well as christmas tree cupcakes, rocky road and royales biscuit 'puddings', mini strawberry puddings, scones, and lots of sweets x

THE THANK YOUS AND SHOUT OUTS

Big thanks to the following gorgeous people for doing what they do best:

My wonderful boy ~ your patience and assistance is so appreciated.  Thank you for packing the iron and ironing board and ironing the tableclothes for me ~ you truly are the best!

NFE DESIGN ~ as always the photos are stunning and Renee is a pleasure to spend time with

MON TRESOR ~ for the gorgeous ice cream cups and lolly scoop (which was hanging on the side of the bakers rack)

STYLE ME GORGEOUS ~ I just love love love printables for parties - it's so much fun printing them out and cutting them all up ready and everyone loves them

THE PRODUCTS

So in love with the metal folding stand ~ so easy to fold up and carry, then looks amazing when folded out.   On the stand we had Christmas tree cupcakes, rocky road and royales mini 'puddings'.

Bruschetta was served in our candy cane range of bowls ~ I made this simple serving bowl by blu-tacking one of our lido bowls to one of our overturned candy cane bowls.  Holding the oil is a half circle dish ~ coming soon to SWEET LITTLE BIRDY

These yummy strawberry puddings in recycled jars looked so sweet with the spoons from our 'baby is brewing' favours.

No party would be complete at Sweet Little Birdy without the fantastic range of party ware from SAMBELLINA ~ we used the stripey range in pink and red, along with polka cups.  Also on the tray are our new candle holders (used as lolly holders) ~ coming soon

Our paper straws fit the candy stripe theme perfectly, and teamed perfectly with the Style Me Gorgeous printables...

Love, love, love our new stripey lolly bags ~ these contained 'old fashioned favourites' like milk bottles, grubs, icecream cones, honey bears, strawberries and creams and teeth ~ loved the touch of nostaglia these gave the party

Sambellina tags were PERFECT for the guests take home bags ~ these boxes are also coming soon to Sweet Little Birdy

A big thank you to all of our guests and helpers on the day ~ we look forward to partying with you again in the New Year

Launch Party Day ~ Party number one

Wow, our launch party day was so much fun, and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to showcase not only our gorgeous products, but also to create the parties as well.  The first theme was 'Things I love...' and the second was 'The future looks bright' and they both came together beautifully.

The 'things I love...' theme is well, pretty self explanatory I guess.   I wanted it to be all about what inspired me to start Sweet Little Birdy... It was a beautiful sit down tea party with pink as the central colour, and combined my love of polka dots, roses, teacups, vintage decor and sweet little birdies.

Delicious delights were served and included cake pops and sweets, sandwich fingers and circles and mini donuts, as well as sweet little birdy cupcakes and baby lamingtons.  Scrumptious hot finger food was also enjoyed and included mini quiche and cheese triangles.

Our gorgeous Sambellina pink polka dot partyware looked amazing, and themed in beautifully and our paper straws added a nostaglic touch.

THE THANK YOUS AND SHOUTOUTS

So many people helped make the day a success and I am truly grateful.  To everyone who attended I thank you sincerely ~ the buzz is the room was so incredible and your postive and kind comments mean the world.

To my darling partner, who I had doing little projects in the shed for me, thank you - our cake pops and marshmallow stick boxes looked fantastic and I LOVE them.  Thank you for your patience when 'I just need these birds white' or 'I just need a coffee' or when I start off by saying 'I have this idea...'.  Love you beyond words x

Thank you to our super-talented and wonderful photographer Renee and her gorgeous assistant (aka straw fixer) at  NFE Design ~ Renee's work is amazing.

Chair covers by Natasha at Plan Your Special Day ~ Not only did they look awesome, but Natasha's assistance on the day was really appreciated.

Buffet labels and circles by Sarah at Style Me Gorgeous ~ these just added that 'finishing touch' to the food and will be available at Sweet Little Birdy very soon.
